I am severely tired of listening to disagreement. When unfolding issues, I’d rather listen to positive suggestions than rigid criticism first. It seems very easy to convince by criticizing an opposing view and ending up saying “no” to everything that is against our perspective while we are not ready yet to suggest alternatives. The media nowadays, is packed with people that do so and create empty poles of influence within public perception. Not knowing where the truth lies anymore, we are in more in need of informed proposals about the problems we face and less raw criticism. Analysis is welcomed in order to understand the issues. However we need to agree on facts first before starting discussion. I am often arguing with friends about global issues and I can quickly see through the poles of influence that affect various views. Information Filtering has done a good job creating dominant popular ideas within society, a phenomenon that in my view can only be described as the collective expression of subculture.
